The right support for your situation
INTERIM MANAGEMENT
Leadership through a transition
Temporary management responsibility for an operation or team during change or a transition period. We agree the priorities, decision-making authority and scope, with a structured handover planned from the start.
CONSULTING
From the problem to practical change
I work with you to understand the problem, agree a solution and help put it into practice. The work can include clearer routines, better decisions and support for the people making the change.
Where I can help
Operations & supply chain
Review the movement of stock, orders and information. Clarify receiving, fulfilment and delivery handovers, including who owns exceptions and the next action.
Cost and performance improvement
Review priorities, recurring work and operational trade-offs. Agree practical improvements and relevant measures, using the information your business has.
Team leadership and clear responsibilities
Help people understand their priorities, decisions and responsibilities. Build routines for communication, follow-up and development.
Change implementation and handover
Turn an agreed plan into day-to-day action. Test changes with the team and plan the transfer of responsibilities and operational knowledge.
A practical way of working
Understand
Listen to the people doing the work and map the problem, constraints and current responsibilities.
Agree priorities
Set the scope, authority, deliverables and how progress will be reviewed.
Implement
Put the agreed changes into practice, support the team and adjust where needed.
Handover
Plan a clear transfer of responsibilities, decisions and the knowledge needed to continue.
The scope may include an improvement plan, operating routines, clear responsibilities and a handover plan. We agree the work before starting.
Simpler processes. Clearer daily work.
Unclear ownership, repeated approvals and information spread across messages can make everyday work harder. I start by understanding the process with the team, then clarify the handovers and remove unnecessary steps.
SELECTED MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE
Making supply decisions under pressure
An example from my international operational leadership roles.
Situation
Disrupted inbound supply and limited transport capacity put product availability under pressure.
My contribution
I assessed alternative routes and transport options, including selective use of air freight. Product value, margin and additional transport costs were considered when setting priorities.
Business judgement
The goal was not to move every product at any cost. It was to improve availability where the additional expense could be justified commercially.
A logistics decision must also make business sense.
